Poco conosciuto al grande pubblico perché reperibile solo in negozi specializzati, questo Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, prodotto da Château la Fleur d'Arthus, merita tutta la nostra attenzione.
Un vigneto di circa 1,5 ettari con terreno sabbioso e ghiaioso, dal quale Jean-Denis Salvert produce 8.000 bottiglie all'anno.
Il blend è composto per metà da Merlot e per metà da Cabernet Franc, e viene affinato in botti per 15 mesi.
Caillou d'Arthus è un vino piuttosto versatile con una leggerissima nota di rovere.
È generoso, delicato e complesso.
Un vino corposo che si abbina bene a una vasta gamma di piatti a base di carne rossa, ad esempio.
