QUINTA DE LEMOS - Três Armandos - DÃO Red 2015 - 75cl

Description

Complex aroma, lots of ripe fruit, forest and pine forest.
A mouthful of fruit, powerful, textured and elegant.

Três Armandos wine is a prestigious edition from Quinta de Lemos , originally launched in 2022 as a tribute to three generations of men from the Lemos family. It is an exclusive red wine from the Dão region, characterized by its high concentration and aging potential.

VITICULTURE

Touriga Nacional, the predominant grape variety in our blend, and Tinta Roriz, which adds complexity, elegance, and structure to the whole, grow on slopes situated between 350 and 400 meters of altitude. The vineyard is managed within an integrated protection program, and the application of herbicides is prohibited. The harvest is done manually when the grapes reach their point of ripeness, typically in the second half of September and the first half of October. The grapes are harvested in small 10 kg boxes.

WINEMAKING

These wines are obtained after fermentation at a controlled temperature in order to preserve all the aromatic elegance, in wooden vats and stainless steel tanks for 20 days.
The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels and is subsequently aged for 18 months in order to enhance its structure and complexity.

Aged Cheeses: Sheep or goat cheeses with prolonged aging (such as the harder Serra da Estrela cheese) balance well the acidity and tannins present.
