Quinta Alta - Qalt Tinta Barroca Red Douro 2022

QALT Tinta Barroca is born from grapes from Quinta Alta in Ervedosa do Douro, in the Cima Corgo sub-region. The altitude and rich soil of the vineyards offer the necessary characteristics for the grapes to develop in a unique way to provide a fresh and vibrant wine.

A summer red wine that exudes wild fruit and hints of anise. Light and refreshing, it comes in a delicate ruby color.

An indigenous Douro grape variety, Tinta Barroca, is regularly used in Port wine blends.

The proposal is a wine that brings joy.

The label is a work of art by two artists: Ricardo Kaur (@kaur_art), a street artist from São Paulo Brazil and Helena Lobo(@HLdesign), a designer from Douro.

Fernanda Zuccaro proposed the challenge to the two designers to build a label that unites the traditional Douro with the frenzy of big cities.

This is how the Baroque label came about. A masterpiece. The expression of the colors and flavors of a delicate and elegant wine that represents the Douro in the essence of the Tinta Barroca grape variety.

QALT TINTA BARROCA is the first single-varietal wine from Quinta Alta. The choice of Tinta Barroca was to highlight the importance that the grape variety has in the Douro region. In the Terroir where it was born it has vigor and quality. Altitude and soil that provide healthy grapes with immense potential to create a light, fresh and cheerful wine

Service advice and Pairings
Serve at 14ºC and drink at 16ºC.
Pairings with light seafood, fish and chicken dishes. Vegetarian dishes too.
A wine for an aperitif and to go well at the table. Easy to drink, it accompanies the most demanding palates.
