Description
The year 2023 in the Douro was challenging, with a rainy winter followed by a long ripening season. This period was marked by high temperatures and rainy periods, requiring extra attention in the vineyard until harvest time. Despite the adversities, the musts revealed intense aromas, deep color and concentrated and aromatic flavors, reflecting the complexity of the terroir and the effort of all the winemaking work.
Winemaking
This wine is made from our youngest vines and was made using traditional treading in a wine press, with spontaneous fermentation. It was then aged for 6 months in American oak barrels, adding nuances of flavor and structure. It was bottled without filtration, preserving the full expression of the fruit and vine.
Quantity produced: 3,500 bottles
Tasting Notes
It has vibrant aromas of ripe red fruits, enriched with notes of mint and balsamic touches.
On the palate, it is full-bodied, with remarkable concentration and a smooth, long and balanced finish, inviting an unforgettable sensory experience.
