The original MARTINI, and our first love.
When Luigi Rossi blended local botanicals to craft this scarlet-hued vermouth, he created an indisputable icon.
While the exact recipe remains a closely guarded secret, this sweet vermouth’s intensely herbal character is the result of blending carefully chosen wines with a complex selection of Italian herbs, including sage, savory and dittany, and bitter-sweet exotic woods.
Rosso is a secret blend of plants from various soils from all over the world. One of its essential ingredients, mugwort, continues to grow and be harvested a little south of Pessione, our birthplace.
OUR SECRET BLEND
The award-winning recipe for MARTINI® Rosso has remained unchanged since its inception. Only three people in the world know the secrets. The master botanist Ivano Tonutti is one of them. May his lips silence Rossi's alchemy forever!
A SECRET RECIPE
The original MARTINI® recipe remains locked up, out of sight. Our master blenders and botanists only need their nose and their taste buds to reproduce it perfectly. More than 500 samples of aromatic plants pass under Ivano Tonutti's nose every year, and only his mastery, combined with that of Beppe Musso, allows us to remain faithful to the legacy of Luigi Rossi.
